Commercial cleaning is more than just bleach in a bucket. There are safety protocols and standards to be met in order to ensure all jobs are done properly and thoroughly for the safety of anyone entering the site. All of our technicians are fully certified and trained to handle any environment, from hospitals to biohazard spills. For us, when it comes to health and safety, there's no room for error. 

  As a mid-size ‘boutique’ style janitorial services provider starting in 2015, our aim is highly satisfied customers, low over-head, and a deep connection between the cleaner performing services and the owner. With mid-level management and administration help, we perform at a high level; maximizing efficiency, minimizing red tape and ultimately providing a responsive workflow that our clients are impressed by and find value in. 

We believe that our owner engagement in operations and staffing sets the tone for loyalty, commitment to quality, and rapid solutions in light of any pain points that arise on a job site or with a specific cleaner. We are quick to problem solve and work to be ahead of any challenges as to insulate our clients and their stakeholders from negative experiences. 

Sweep provides cleaning services to more than 25 local businesses and currently employs 30 cleaners. The businesses we serve range in size from 10,000 square foot office buildings to 180,000 sq ft office buildings plus warehouses with nearly 1,000 employees. We work for a wide variety of industries including insurance, property (apartment) management, construction/builders, and more. 

We are certainly not the largest cleaning agency in the area but find that as a source of pride as we have great control over quality, process, employee retention/turnover and client relationships. 

Our process of onboarding for any new client is using a mix of existing staff and new staff; both starting an intense training process to support existing cleaners (that know our expectations and processes) and new cleaners that always bring fresh ideas and positive attitudes to an exciting time. This training and onboarding process is led by executive leadership within Sweep, consisting of the Owner, Operations Director, and key vendors and suppliers. 

Christina Minnis, Sweep You Off Your Feet Owner, spent 16 years in corporate marketing and communication before starting her own company. Her passion for service in our community, caring for others, and offering a hand up to those in need are at the heart of this family business. Her executive management experience has enriched companies like Lansing Community College, Lansing State Journal, Allen & O’Hara Education Properties (Chandler Crossings Apartments), Douglas J, and MSU Federal Credit Union. Ready for a change from a corporate environment in 2015, she created a business strategy that would combine her strong work ethic and the desire to roll her sleeves up and be hands on with the idea of putting clients first. With years of professional communication experience, leadership training and certifications, and working in her family’s cleaning business as a teen, it has been a rewarding transition. 

We partner with local suppliers to build a chemical and equipment strategy based on best practices for each of your spaces and products/finishes. We are always looking for new options that create efficiency and suit current needs. An example would be changing our disinfectant strategy when Covid originated based on CDC guidelines and recommendations from our suppliers. As new chemicals and equipment enter the market, we make changes that will best serve our clients and our cleaners. We value feedback from our cleaners and are always looking for ways to make their jobs more comfortable and less physically taxing. 

Once a thorough operations plan is created, we get to work on training.
